Report to jail or treatment program on time. Many judges
make failure to report a probation violation with can result in a longer jail sentence. If
you report to a treatment program, make sure the program tells the court that you were
there.
Renew your license if it expires during your suspension.
Renewal is different than reinstatement. If you license expires, you cannot drive even if
you have valid driving privileges. This is not the $425 reinstatement fee, it is the fee
you pay every four years on your birthday.
Limit your driving to what is authorized. If you drive
outside of what is allowed on your order, you could be charged with driving under
suspension, arrested, and taken to jail. If you order says you can drive home from work
between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. You are not allowed to drive home from work at 6:15 p.m.
even if you had to work overtime unless the order authorizes this.

officer has your current address. Failure to do this could result in your arrest if
you do not respond to communications from your probation officer.
Pay your fine and costs on time. Failure to do so can
result in arrest and license suspension. Franklin County Municipal Court: http://www.fcmcclerk.com/

Make sure the information in your driving privileges order is
current. If the information on you driving privileges change you must get a new
order. If your order says you can drive to work at 25 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH and
you get a new job in Worthington, you cannot drive to work at the new job until and unless
you get a new court order with the new address. Watch out for other changes as well such
as, work hours, home address, second jobs, etc.
Pay your reinstatement fee and show proof of insurance to the BMV
20 days before the end of your suspension. Once your suspension ends, you cannot
drive if you have paid your reinstatement fee. Your driving privileges are no longer valid
at that point either. The fee is currently $425 and is paid to the Bureau of Motor
